Management Institutes

Collegiate DECA offers two Management Institute experiences at the International Career development Conference that complement the overall programming offered to students. These Institutes are currently offered in the fields of Culinary/Food Service and the National Management Institute that deals with a different field of management each year. Each Management Institute includes presentations by industry professionals, a case study analysis, an off-site experience with one or more local organizations and a team presentation.

Business Simulations

Business Simulations events are designed to measure participant's marketing and/or management proficiency in one of six (6) professional areas:
  1. Accounting
  2. Banking Financial Services
  3. Corporate Finance
  4. Fashion Merchandising and Marketing
  5. Hotel and Lodging
  6. Restaurant and Food Service Management
  7. Retail Management
  8. Travel and Tourism
Case Studies

Each case study event provides participants the opportunity to analyze real-world case situations, and to present situations to a professional (judge).
  1. Business Ethics
  2. Business-to-Business Marketing
  3. Human Resource Management
  4. International Marketing
  5. Marketing Management
  6. Sales Management Meeting
  7. Sports and Entertainment Marketing
  8. Culinary Arts (Florida ONLY Event)
  9. Criminal Justice (Florida ONLY Event)
Prepared Business Presentations

Each Prepared Business Presentation event provides participants the opportunity to prepare a written prospectus, sales presentation or Web site, and to present to a professional (judge).
  1. Advertising Campaign
  2. Business Law
  3. Business Research (Pilot)
  4. Entrepreneurship (Starting a Business)
  5. Entrepreneurship (Growing Your Business)
  6. Financial Statement Analysis
  7. Professional Sales
  8. Project Management
  9. Web Site Design
Special Activities:
